Search fields, not just copy
SEO tags, generated with the listing
listWright fills the keyword fields each marketplace ranks on, not only the title and the description. Etsy takes 13 tags of 20 characters. eBay has no tag field at all, so the keywords go into the title and the item specifics instead. Amazon indexes its search terms separately from the title, so repeating a word there wastes a byte.

Checked before it reaches you
No duplicate tags, nothing over a character limit, no filler put in to fill a slot. A listing that breaks a rule does not come back as a listing. It comes back with the rule it broke.

Your columns, whatever they are
One row per product and a header row. There are no required column names: a name, a price, a material, a size, whatever you already track is what the copy gets written from.

A file each import screen accepts
Not a copy and paste job. You get a CSV shaped for wherever you said it was going, with the columns that marketplace asks for in the order it asks for them.

Your shop, on your terms
Connecting a shop is optional and starts switched off. Connect one and we can read your listings in and write rewritten copy back to them, but only the title, the description and the tags, only when you press publish, and never a price, a photograph or an order. Skip it and nothing changes: a file goes out, a file comes back, the rest is your call.
Plenty of tools will write you tags. The question worth asking is what happens when one of them is 24 characters long and the import screen says no.

Three ways in, no spreadsheet required
You do not have to make a file first
A spreadsheet is the right tool for two hundred products. For four, it is a chore with three extra steps in it: download a sample, edit it, save it as CSV, upload it. So there are two other ways in, and they end up in exactly the same place.

Type them in
A grid, one product to a row, and you name the columns yourself. Fill in what you know and leave the rest blank. Nothing to download, and nothing to upload afterwards.

Connect your Etsy shop
Pull the listings you already have straight in, rewrite them, and send the new wording back. You approve it on Etsy, we never see your password, and only the title, description and tags are ever written.

Copy a field at a time
Every marketplace form has one box per field, so every field here has its own copy button. Tags come out as one comma separated line, which is the shape all four import screens want them in.
Whichever way a product arrives, it is the same product afterwards. Type one in today and re-upload it in a sheet next month and it is still one product, not two, so the row you have not touched is skipped and costs you nothing.

Before you start
The questions people actually ask
Do I have to connect my Etsy shop?
No. It is there if you want it and it is off until you turn it on. Without it you upload a file, you get a file back, and you import it yourself once you have read it, which is how most people use this.
If you do connect one, you approve it on Etsy's own site and we never see your password. We can then read your listings in and write copy back to them. Only the wording: the title, the description and the tags. Not the price, not the quantity, not your photographs, not your orders. Nothing is written until you press publish on a particular product, and disconnecting deletes the token, so there is nothing left on our side that could reach your shop again.
What happens to my spreadsheet?
It is read, turned into rows, and dropped. The file itself is not kept. What survives is the product rows and the copy written for them, which is what your product tracker shows you, and deleting your account takes those with it.
Will a marketplace penalise me for copy a model wrote?
None of the four ban it. What they act on is copy that misdescribes the item, and that is the risk worth taking seriously. It is why the generator is held to the row you supplied: it may not state a material, a size, a country of origin or a claim your sheet did not give it. Read the file before you import it, every time.
What does a credit actually cost me?
One credit is one product generated: a title, a description and tags, written once and then checked. Retrying something that failed is free, because nothing was written. A row you have not edited since last time is skipped rather than rewritten, so a second run over the same catalogue costs almost nothing.
What if a listing comes back breaking a rule?
You see it here rather than in an import screen. Every listing is measured against the limits of the marketplace it was written for, and one that fails arrives marked with the rule it broke, so you can fix it or rewrite that one row on its own.
Can I try it before I hand over an email address?
Yes. The demo takes one listing you already have, scores it out of 100, writes a new one and scores that the same way. No account, no card. The free audit works the same way on a whole sheet of listings you have already published.

This service is published at listwright.ca, and at list-wright.com, which serves the same site. listwright.ca is the canonical address and the one to use. There is no third address. Any other domain trading under this name is not operated by us, and a spreadsheet uploaded to one never reaches us.
We will never ask for your Etsy, Shopify, eBay or Amazon password, and we will never email you a link to connect or reconnect a shop.
