Where listWright actually lives
The official listWright domains
listWright is published at two addresses and no others. If you are reading this somewhere else, you are not on listWright.
- listwright.ca is the canonical one. It is the address every page here names as its real url, and the one to use if you link to us.
- list-wright.com serves the same site.
Both open the same service, the same account and the same credits. Sign up on one, log in on the other. Nothing differs between them except the letters in the bar at the top of your browser.
There is no third address
No other domain is listWright. Not a different spelling, not a different ending, not a subdomain of somebody else's site. We do not run a mirror, a regional version, or a mobile app. If a page carries this name and the address is not one of the two above, it is not ours, and a file uploaded to it never reaches us.
We are saying this plainly because the tool asks you to upload a spreadsheet of your products. That is worth something to whoever collects it, so the name is worth copying.
What we will never ask you for
listWright will never ask you for a marketplace password. You can connect an Etsy shop to your account if you want to, and that connection is granted on Etsy's own site, not on ours: Etsy asks you, Etsy tells you what is being requested, and Etsy hands us a token you can revoke there or here whenever you like. Your password never passes through this service and there is nowhere in it for one to go.
That is worth reading twice, because a connection is the thing a lookalike will imitate. A page asking you to "reconnect your shop" is the most convincing fake anybody could build of us, so here is what we do:
- We will never ask for your Etsy, Shopify, eBay or Amazon password, on any page, in any email, for any reason.
- We will never email you a link to connect or reconnect a shop. Not after a failure, not after an expiry, not ever. If a connection needs renewing you will find out on the Shops page when you log in, and nowhere else.
- You always start a connection yourself, from the Shops page inside your account, and you always approve it on the marketplace's own website. If you did not press the button, it is not us.
- We will never ask for card details on a page of ours. Paid plans go through Stripe's own checkout, on a Stripe address.
Anything asking for one of those is not from us, whatever it has on it and however well it reads.
How to check
Read the address bar before you type anything into a page. The whole name has to match, right up to the first slash. A hyphen belongs in list-wright.com and nowhere else. Our email comes from [email protected], and it never asks you to log in anywhere: the demo code goes in the page you started from.
Bookmark whichever of the two you prefer. It is a better habit than searching for the name each time, because a search result is somebody else's list.
